Leading Chartered Accountancy firm Bishops is celebrating a second shortlisting for a major professional award this year after being named as a finalist in this year’s prestigious British Accountancy Awards.
The firm is one of only eight accountancy practices in the Independent Firm of the Year – North England category of the awards, which have been organised by leading publication Accountancy Age.
The judging panel was convinced that Bishops’ bid demonstrated the strong growth, service innovation and client and community involvement needed for it to qualify as a potential award winner.
Bishops has already reached the final stage of the Be Inspired Business Award (BIBA) Professional Practice of the Year 2016 category and will learn the outcome at Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom on 16 September.
Managing Director Andrew Tabernacle said: “We are delighted with our shortlisting for the British Accountancy award, as it is additional affirmation of the excellent progress Bishops has recently made and recognition of the team’s commitment and hard work.
“The shortlisting gives us our second opportunity to win a highly professionally regarded professional award in 2016, which is powerful motivation for us to continue offering our clients the best services and care we can.”
The Bishops team will find out if the 2016 British Accountancy Award will be coming to Lancashire on 29 November.
